Franciacorta pioneer Bellavista is the latest addition to Hallgarten & Novum Wines’ growing agency list.

Founded in 1977 by Vittorio Moretti, the family-run winery was one of the first to produce classic method wine in Franciacorta. In 1981, Moretti partnered with young winemaker Mattia Vezzola, which transformed Bellavista into a leading producer of sparkling wine.

The wines were previously represented in the UK by Liberty Wines.

Other recent Italian additions to the Hallgarten portfolio have included La Collina Dei Ciliegi from Valpolicella, Banfi from Montalcino and Sella & Mosca from Sardinia.

English producer Wiston Estate, Champagne Palmer, Château de Saint Cosme in Gigondas, Château de Rouanne in Vinsobres, Rioja producer Bodegas Bhilar and Quinta do Vallado in the Douro have also joined the Hallgarten stable since September, along with South African producers Delaire Graff Estate, Creation Wines, Cape Point and Brookdale Estate.

Hallgarten was bought by Coterie Holdings in 2023, whose other businesses include Lay & Wheeler, Coterie Vaults and GWS, which supplies wine and spirits to the yachting industry.
