Berkmann Wine Cellars has added historic Argentine producer Rutini Wines to its portfolio as UK agent.

Founded in Mendoza in 1885, Rutini was an early pioneer of the Uco Valley, planting vineyards there in 1924. Today its vineyards cover a number of high-altitude sites across Mendoza, with production centred on its winery in Tupungato. Rutini was previously represented in the UK by Viñals Wine & Food.

Juan Pablo Murgia (pictured) joined Rutini as head winemaker in 2025, working alongside Mariano Di Paola, who has been with the producer for more than three decades. The range includes Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, whites and rosé, as well as limited-production single-vineyard wines.

Alex Hunt MW, purchasing director at Berkmann, said: “With their focus on deliciousness, elegance and terroir expression, fuelled by forward-thinking family ownership, Rutini resonates with our ethos and complements the rest of our range with their distinctive Uco Valley-driven style.”

Berkmann will support the launch with trade training, tastings and customer activity across the UK.
