Liberty Wines has strengthened its southern Italian portfolio with the addition of Quintodecimo in Campania and Marco de Grazia’s new Bella-Colonna range from Etna. Quintodecimo was previously represented in the UK by Justerini & Brooks, while Bella-Colonna is a new project and has not previously had a UK importer under that name.
Quintodecimo was founded by oenologist Professor Luigi Moio and his wife Laura (both pictured), who bought an estate at Mirabella Eclano in the Taurasi denomination in 2001. The organically farmed, 40-hectare property produces Aglianico, Greco, Falanghina and Fiano. Four wines have joined the Liberty range, with RRPs from £55 for Via del Campo Falanghina, Exultet Fiano di Avellino and Giallo d’Arles Greco di Tufo to £73 for Terra d’Eclano Aglianico.
Bella-Colonna is the latest project from Marco de Grazia, who established Tenuta delle Terre Nere after arriving on Etna in 1999. De Grazia sold a stake in Terre Nere in 2025 but retained a number of vineyard parcels on Etna’s northern slopes, including the Bella Colonna plot in Calderara Sottana. His former Terre Nere wines have had a long-standing UK presence through Justerini & Brooks.
The new certified-organic range comprises an Etna Bianco made entirely from Carricante and four Nerello Mascalese reds. Prices range from £38 for the Etna Bianco Randazzo and Etna Rosso to £60 for Pignatuni and £75 for the single-vineyard Calderara Sottana and San Lorenzo wines.
Liberty director of buying Nicholas Moschi said: “We are thrilled to be working with Professor Luigi Moio and Marco de Grazia, both of whom share our passion for highly distinctive wines from native varieties with an authentic sense of place. Quintodecimo and Bella-Colonna sit perfectly alongside the likes of Mandrarossa, Donnafugata and Mecori in our Southern Italian offering.”
