Following its launch for years ago, rosé now makes up 10% of all Prosecco sales, according to official figures.

The category accounted for 60 million bottles sold globally in 2024, according to the Consorzio Prosecco DOC. That’s a 20% increase on the previous year.

Prosecco DOC production hit a record 660m bottles in 2024, a 7% increase on 2023.

Prosecco DOC now represents nearly 25% of Italy’s total DOP (PDO) wine production, the consorzio claims.
