Hallgarten & Novum Wines has taken on the exclusive UK distribution of Tokaj producer Disznókő, with the wines joining its portfolio from September.
Hallgarten takes over the agency from Gonzalez Byass UK, which has represented Disznókő since 2016.
The 104-hectare estate, part of AXA Millésimes, is one of Tokaj’s best-known producers and was classified as a First Growth in 1732. Its range includes both dry Furmint and sweet Tokaji styles.
Hallgarten wine development director Steve Daniel said: “The estate continues to be a flagbearer for Tokaj, constantly innovating and improving, and I am excited for the wines to receive the exposure they deserve in the UK market.”
The core range will include Dry Furmint 2024, Late Harvest Furmint 2022, 1413 Szamorodni 2022, Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos and Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2017. Hallgarten says the Aszú wines will be aimed at premium retail and hospitality customers, while dry Furmint will be available to regional on-trade accounts.
