London merchant Jeroboams has added two new agencies to its portfolio: Mouchão (Alentejo) and Domaine de la Chapelle (Chinon).

Mouchão, previously imported by ABS, claims to be one of Alentejo’s oldest family-owned producers, with a winery first built in 1901 and a focus on traditional winemaking techniques.

Domaine de la Chapelle, first founded in the 1980s, has been farmed organically since 2008 and certified biodynamic since 2016. It makes both Chinon Rouge and Chinon Blanc from 16.5 hectares of vines.

Jeroboams director Peter Mitchell MW said: “Both of these wineries are absolute gems, and we are thrilled to add them to our portfolio. As well as producing outstanding wines, both teams are wonderful and completely aligned with us in terms of our core beliefs.”

Both agencies will be welcomed officially on March 1.
