New Alliance Wine boss Fergal Tynan MW is promising a “multi-year investment programme in technology and operations” to improve the company’s service quality.
Tynan, who was already Alliance’s MD, now has full executive control of the business following the retirement of founder Christian Bouteiller.
The company has secured new funding from Activequity, a wine investment business, to pursue its programme.
“Alliance Wine has spent four decades building something special for our customers,” said Tynan. “We have strong foundations, great momentum, and an ambition to set the benchmark for service quality in the premium wine trade.”
Bouteiller said: “Fergal knows the premium wine business inside out and has always had a relentless focus on delivering quality of service to all our customers. I am delighted that he has secured the backing of partners who share his vision to take Alliance Wine into its most exciting chapter yet.”
