Leonardslee Family Vineyards is opening a new tasting room at Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens in West Sussex.

The Drawing Room, located inside Leonardslee House, will open on October 1 and will host tutored tastings and wine tours during the day, with private dining available in the evenings.

Leonardslee said revenues increased by 51% in the year to June 2026, while trade sales rose by 60%. Business at its Vineyard Kitchen restaurant was up 128%.

Cellar door sales have also almost doubled, rising by 98%, prompting the investment in a dedicated tasting space. Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens attracted 190,000 visitors in 2025, giving the winery access to an established tourism audience alongside its accommodation and dining offer.

Managing director Barry Anderson said the figures reflected “the increasing strength of our brand and the hard work of our entire team”. He added: “English wine tourism is experiencing an incredible boom, and by combining award-winning wines with luxury accommodation and exceptional dining, we have created a true destination at Leonardslee.”

Leonardslee, whose wines are sold to independents by Schenk Family UK, launched its English sparkling wine range in June 2024. Anderson said the new tasting room would allow the business to “elevate our guest experience further and unlock exciting new opportunities across the wider estate”.
